Overview At Maya’s Jewellery, we strive to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchases. If you need to return an item, here are our terms:

Return Eligibility You may return any item purchased from the Maya’s Jewellery Online Shop within 7 days of receipt for an exchange or a refund, subject to the following conditions:

  • Non-returnable Items: Sale items, customized or engraved items, earrings, and piercing jewelry are non-returnable for hygiene reasons, unless they are faulty.
  • Condition for Return: Items must be in new, unworn, and resalable condition.
  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns or exchanges.


  • Store Exchange: Items purchased online can be exchanged at our Maya’s Jewellery Store in Menlyn Maine, Pretoria.
  • Defective or Damaged Items: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you receive a defective item, please contact us immediately.
  • Size Exchanges: If an item is the wrong size, we will exchange it provided it is returned in its original condition and packaging.
  • Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for shipping costs for returning items for an exchange.


  • Exclusions: We do not offer refunds on gift vouchers or customized products.
  • Handling Fee: Refunds will be processed minus the original delivery fee (even if you qualified for free delivery) and a 15% handling fee.
  • Refund Process: Upon receipt and inspection of the return, if your refund is approved, it will be processed and a confirmation sent via email.

Shipping Information for Returns

  • Faulty Goods: Please return the faulty item to our business address. You will be reimbursed for the shipping costs via EFT.
  • Exchange Returns: Return shipping for an exchange will be at your expense.
  • Reordering for Exchanges: For exchanges, you will need to reorder the item as per our standard ordering process.

Reporting Issues

  • Incorrect/Faulty Item or Missing Item: If you received an incorrect item, a faulty item, or if an item is missing, please contact us within 3 days of receipt. We will address the issue promptly and arrange for a replacement or the correct item to be sent.
